Ramps and Floors
Ramps
Ramp replacement - it is fairly common for the steel or aluminium structure of older ramps to suffer from corrosion and no longer be structually sound. We can manufacture a completely new ramp for you.
Partial ramp replacement - This is a common job we can recommend to save on the cost of a full ramp replacement. If only the lower section of the ramp at the hinge has failed then we can replace just the lower section of the ramp as long as the rest is in good condition.
‘Heavy’ ramps - Very often the ramp will become ‘heavy’ making it difficult to open and close. More often than not this is caused by a build up of corrosion on the ramp hinges or the sliding tubes under the springs. Upon inspection we will be able to diagnose the cause of the ‘heavy’ ramp and recommend the best solution.
Hydraulic ramps - We repair and fit hydraiulic ramp systems. All our fitted systems include a release valve to allow the ramp to be opened manually in the result of a failure. This is an essential safety feature which is lacking on a lot of ramps we see. We can also fit release valves to existing systems.
Ramp surfaces - We replace the wood, rubber, carpet, rungs on ramps.
Floors
Floor safety check - We will thoroughly check the entire floor of your horsebox. We will lift rubber or anything else covering the underlying wood or aluminium to ensure the condition of the floor. We also check from underneath to make sure the cross bearers which support the floor are in servicable condition.
Floor replcement - We can replace your current floor, with wood or aluminium.
